I like the definition of leadership by Reverend Michael D. Noonan at Wikipedia. It says that leadership is “ultimately about creating how for people to contribute to creating something extraordinary happen.” In my opinion, this is often the essence of the concept of leadership. Believe it. Leaders create how. They are doing not lag behind the gang. They are doing not control the gang. They are doing not command and annoy people. True leaders explore and make how, in order that their subordinates have the chance and therefore the willingness within them to form something extraordinary happen.
Creating how implies walking ahead of others and not following them. You create a path on which others walk. You go first. Then others follow. As Sun Tzu wrote: “A leader leads by example not by force.” Exceptional and true leadership goes even further and makes people follow you because they need to (not because they must). It’s about creating and casting the vision which can send people into raptures. It also means providing people with all the possible resources to assist them achieve the extraordinary.
I personally believe that good leaders are usually made and not born. In other words, all of the above is achievable. It are often learned and put into practice albeit you are doing not pre-own leadership skills. Although such proposition is open for debate (even a tutorial one), I strongly believe that if you’ve got the will and therefore the willpower, you’ll become an efficient leader by acquiring specific set of skills. We will find out how to make how for people.
The key method to accumulate needed skills is certainly education. Formal and informal. However, in my short but intensive experience in leading people, I even have found that leadership quotes were very useful mode of learning leadership skills. They often provided a fast insight into experiences and lessons that others learned through practicing leadership. Leadership quotes served me as instructive recommendations and advices I could use straightaway in practice.

The first quote above emphasizes the necessity to delegate and entrust tasks to people. It also implies our faith and confidence in their abilities. In other words, we’d like to trust our subordinates that they’re ready to accomplish the task successfully, and once they do so, we’d like to acknowledge that and provides them credit for it.
This is one among the ways I learn leadership, as quotes proved to be efficient thanks to gain a number of leadership skills. They need the power to assist one become a far better leader. Provides it a try.
